Institute Mihailo Pupin
Institute Mihailo Pupin is the leading Serbian R&D institution in the field of Information & Communication Techologies.

Automation & Control Systems Ltd
The Automation & Control Systems Ltd is the core division of the Institute Mihailo Pupin, and the owner of the projects: ATLAS Systems and ATLAS-MAX.

The long list of the Institute's references and customers is the best proof of its high professional and techological achievments.

The other related IMP project: VIEW4 Software Package for control of complex processes

Work on the ATLAS project followed hundreds of practical implementations.  We are proud to announce:

  • In last eight years, we have more than 160 large installations in major industrial branches in Serbia, Montenegro, and other countries.
  • Hundreds of ATLAS-MAX units are controlling state electrical power production in Serbia - they are in full operation in practically all electrical production plants.
  • Our equipment fully control the regional electrical power distribution - it is hard to find any major transformer station, or any voltage-level distribution control center, which are not fully supported by our ATLAS equipment.
  • ATLAS equipment controls all major municipal electrical networks in cities in the region.
  • We are regional leader in "clean energy production", highly specialized in controlling hydro electrical plants.
  • Our ATLAS-MAX systems efficiently assist in reducing pollution from existing coil and fossil thermo electrical plants.
  • Dozens of ATLAS systems are controlling water supply in major Serbian cities.
  • Dozens of implementations in control of different industrial processes.
  • We are successfully contributing in irrigation and flood control.
  • As well as in centralized control of railroad and road tunnels.
  • ATLAS-MAX equipment is fully intergrated in VIEW SCADA & VIEW DCS imlementations.
  • Almost, there are no limits in implementations - ATLAS-MAX is founding its place in "smart building control", too.
  • And more ...

The brief reference list of major implementations in last few years is presented hereafter.  The complete reference list is available on request.

  • VIEW H_Power System in HE Djerdap 1 and HE Djerdap 2 (two largest hydro plants on the Danube river, on the Serbian-Romanian border) - multi-computer monitoring and control, including the flood control of the Danube river (a number of upgrades, updates, and functional extensions).
  • VIEW T_Power System in TE Obrenovac A and TE Obrenovac B (two largest coil thermo plants in Serbia, which count for more than half of the total state electrical energy production) - centralized monitoring and control: almost dozen stand alone DCS implementations in the generator blocks, transformer and distribution stations, mutually connected and integrated.
  • Centralized monitoring and control of the thermo-generator blocks in TE Kolubara and TE Kostolac (south of Belgrade) and TE Kosovo A and B (in Kosovo).
  • Monitoring and control of hydro plants (VIEW H_Power Systems) on the Drina river (on the Serbian-Bosnian border), and other Serbian rivers (Morava, Vlasina, Rzav, Lim, etc.) - including dozens of ATLAS-MAX Data Loggers..
  • Monitoring and control of electrical power distribution and transportation facilities in neighboring countries: Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia.
  • Integrated monitoring and control of the regional electrical power transport and distribution networks in western, eastern, central and south Serbia, and Vojvodina.  Dozens of VIEW and ATLAS implementations with regional companies: Elektroistok, Elektro-Timok, Elektro-Morava, Elektro-Vojvodina, Elektro-Kosovo, and others.
  • Centralized monitoring and control of electrical power distribution networks in major Serbian cities and urban regions: Beograd, Niš, Novi Sad, Valjevo, Loznica, Užice, Paraćin, Kruševac, Smederevo, Kraljevo, Požarevac, Sombor, Subotica, Kosovska Mitrovica, Ruma, Sremska Mitrovica, Pirot, Prokuplje, Leskovac, and more.  ATLAS implementations in other neighboring countries: like Bitola (Macedonia), Pljevlja (Montenegro), Trebinje (Bosnia and Herzegovina) ...
  • Electrical power supply control in oil industry (Naftna Industrija Srbije - NIS), dairies (Mlekara Kragujevac), rubber (Tigar Pirot), and other industries.
  • Monitoring and control of municipal water supply systems of the city of Belgrade: Control Center and dozen of pump stations, wells and filtering plants.
  • Systems for early flood-warning monitoring on the river Drina (HE Višegrad), and on the Dam Prvonek (Srbijavode).
  • Smart building control - a special VIEW/ATLAS implementation to optimize power consumption (system SPENS in JP SPC Vojvodina, Novi Sad).
